Azim Premji School is situated in a picturesque location at the bank of river Bhagirathi in village Matli. Matli is located in the Dunda block of Uttarkashi district (Uttarakhand). The school is operating since 2012. Azim Premji Schools are part of Azim Premji Foundation.

Azim Premji Schools work as demonstration schools and committed to abide by the Right to Education Act 2009. At present there are eight schools operated in eight districts of four States (Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka). Azim Premji School, Uttarkashi is one of the eight schools. Here we serve children of 3.5 to 14 years of age i.e. from pre-school to Class 8. The School is affiliated to Uttarakhand Board of Education.
